Homemade Doggy Birthday Cake

Is your pup’s birthday coming up? Or do you just want to celebrate with your pup? We love treating our four-legged friends like members of the family, so why not make your dog a birthday cake. This recipe is a perfect, easy dog-friendly recipe for a peanut butter cake with banana frosting that you and your pup will devour.

Ingredients

Cake:
- 1 cup of whole wheat or white flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 cup of shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup of peanut butter
- 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
- 1/3 cup of honey
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 egg

Frosting:
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
-1 container of baby food bananas or 1 mashed fresh banana
-1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Directions

Cake:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix together the flour and baking soda into a medium sized bowl.
- Add the carrots, peanut butter, vegetable oil, honey, vanilla, and egg and mix thoroughly.
- Pour the batter into a small round pan. If you want cupcakes, you can pour batter into a cupcake pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Frosting:
- Mix the cream cheese, bananas, and cinnamon.
- Once cake cools, spread icing on cake.
