Parliament House in Pompano Beach Changes Rental Rules & Regulations

If you own or are buying a condo in the Parliament Condo in Pompano Beach, Fl, there was recent changes in the rental Rules & Regulations that you will want to pay attention to.

This was an email that was recently sent out:

To  All Realtors:

 

Parliament House has amended their condo docs effective May 25th, 2018.

 

Below are significant changes that you will need to know for conducting real estate transactions in our building:

 

1) No unit owner may lease his or her unit during the first 36 months of ownership.

2) All leases must be for a minimum term of 6 months and a maximum of 12 months.

3) The granting or listing of units for occupancy pursuant to exchanges through entities such as AirBnB or any form of consideration is prohibited.

4) The Condo Association is requiring that a uniform lease is to be used (see attached.)

5) All realtors must check in with the Front Desk and provide DL, Realtor License and get a visitor parking pass.

6) You must give at least a 2 week notice to request an interview.

 

If you have a listing on the MLS you will have to correct it with regards to the leasing portion.

If you are an owner, these rule changes are very serious, because they can effect your ability to sell your condo.

Selling a condo is never easy, and with stricter rental restrictions, the sale of a condo in the Parliament condos in Pompano Beach just became a little more difficult. Buyers that want their condo to be more in line with other condos in the area want the flexibility of being able to rent their condos, and some of the rental restrictions in the area seem to be headed towards restrictions that do not favor investors. The Parliament House has a combination of 1 and 2 bedroom condos, and the condos are located just 4 blocks north of Atlantic on A1A.
