Happy Halloween! Making Halloween desserts is so fun and enjoyable, but have you thought about making a Halloween dessert for your pup? We know our pups love treats, and a homemade treat is the best. So, why don’t you end your dog’s constant barking at the doorbell tonight by distracting him with these delicious, cute candy corn dog treats.

Ingredients

Cookie:
- 1 ½ cup of whole wheat flour
- ½ cup of oatmeal
- ½ cup of chicken or beef stock
- 1 egg

Icing:
- 3 tbsp. of all-purpose flour
- 1-2 tbsps. of water
- Yellow and red food coloring

Directions

Cookie:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Combine all of the Cookie ingredients in a medium-sized bowl, and mix by hand until the ingredients are thoroughly combined. (If the mixture is too dry, add more chicken stock. If it is too sticky, add more flour.)
- Divide the dough in half for big treats or in fourths for smaller treats, and roll each piece of the dough into a circle about half an inch thick.
- Cut eight triangles out of the dough circles like cutting eight slices of a pizza.
- Place the triangle treats on a parchment lined baking sheet in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool the treats once they’re done baking.

Icing:
- Combine the flour with 1 tbsp. of water at a time until it creates a consistency like thick paint.
- Spread the top third of the cookies with the already white icing.
- Add yellow food coloring to the icing, and paint the bottom third of the treat with the yellow icing.
- Add red food coloring to the yellow icing to make orange, and spread the remaining middle part of the treat with the orange icing.
- Voilà. You have the perfect candy corn treats for your pup on Halloween.
